Admission Process
Unsure which class?
If you are coming from the Slovene, Italian public system or other public/non international school please use the table below to identify which grade your child should be in. If you wish for the child to enter the grade below please speak to our admissions team.
If you are coming from another international school, if your child is entering in September 2025, your child will continue into the next academic year.
Admissions at Koper International School reflect our commitment to fostering an inclusive, globally-minded community of learners. We welcome applications from families who value academic excellence, personal growth, and a multicultural environment. Our admissions process is straightforward and designed to identify how best we can support each student's unique journey. Applicants are invited to undergo an optional initial consultation, during which we discuss their educational history, interests, and goals. For non-native English speakers, an English proficiency assessment is required to ensure students can thrive in our British curriculum and be placed in the correct stream up to year 10, with tailored support for those needing additional assistance.
We accept applications throughout the year and encourage early submission to secure a place, as our class sizes are intentionally small, with a maximum of 16 students per class.

If your child is coming from another A-Levels school, and is half way through the program, please fill out the admissions form, and state their subjects in the other information section. Providing they are on track to complete the program, we are confident we can accommodate your child.
If your child is coming from a non A-Levels program, it is almost impossible to join us for the last year, as it is half way through the course, and it takes 2 academic years to complete the course with ⅔ of the course being completed in year 12. We welcome you to apply to join us as a year 12 student instead, and complete the two years of A-Levels with us at KISS.
