This October, our entire school community — from Primary to Secondary — came
together for a memorable whole-school trip to the Postojna Caves, one of
Slovenia’s most extraordinary natural landmarks.
The trip was a celebration of unity, curiosity, and shared learning,
offering students of all ages the chance to explore together beyond the
classroom. Guided by expert tour leaders in English, our primary students
focused on discovering the geology, rock formations, and unique animal species
that make the caves so special. The experience brought their science lessons to
life in a way that only real-world exploration can.
Meanwhile, our secondary students, joined by the Erasmus exchange students
from Forrai Gymnasium in Budapest, used this opportunity for cross-cultural
learning and to share a part of Slovenia’s geological and cultural heritage
with our European guests. The visit encouraged meaningful conversations,
collaboration, and appreciation for our host country’s natural wonders — see
more about our Erasmus Exchange with Budapest [here].
For many of our students who have recently moved to Slovenia, the trip
provided an enriching introduction to the nation’s fascinating geological
history and a chance to feel even more connected to their new home.
The day reminded us of the importance of whole-school experiences — moments
where our community learns, explores, and grows together. We look forward to
our next whole-school adventure as we continue to build a strong, united, and
globally-minded school family.
