At the end of February, our KIS students enjoyed a memorable winter trip to the beautiful alpine resort of Forni di Sopra, Italy. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery and fresh snow, the trip provided an exciting opportunity for students to engage in outdoor activities, develop new skills, and spend quality time together outside the classroom.
Students had the chance to participate in a variety of winter experiences suited to their interests and confidence levels. Those who chose to ski spent the day on the slopes, improving their technique, building confidence, and enjoying the thrill of skiing in a safe and supportive environment. With the guidance of teachers and instructors, students were encouraged to challenge themselves while also having fun and appreciating the natural surroundings
At the same time, other students took part in a range of equally enjoyable winter activities. They had great fun sledding down snowy hills, ice skating, and jumping on bouncy castles, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere throughout the day. These activities allowed students to stay active, try new experiences, and share moments of laughter and excitement with their peers.
Beyond the physical activities, the trip provided an important opportunity for students from different year groups to connect, strengthen friendships, and build a strong sense of community. Experiences like this play a valuable role in supporting students’ personal development, encouraging independence, teamwork, and confidence. The winter trip to Forni di Sopra was a truly enjoyable and enriching experience, creating lasting memories and highlighting the importance of learning through shared experiences beyond the classroom.
